Moray narrowly lost their opening national league clash at Strathmore last weekend but picked up bonus points for their four tries, while their Fife opponents posted a thumping 50-0 victory at home to Greenock Wanderers in their first match.

Former club captain Marc Higgins, who scored a try in Moray’s first match in Forfar, said on the team’s Facebook page he was relishing the big match.

“The squad has taken a lot of confidence from last weekend, our first dive into National League and picking up two points away against an experienced and physical side,” he said.

“This wasn't by luck, training has been excellent, the guys are really bringing each other on, fighting for the shirt and improving week-on-week.

“Dunfermline had a strong showing last week with 50 unanswered points but every game is going to be a challenge, and with our home support we're looking forward to welcoming national rugby at Morriston for the first time and hopefully bagging the first win.”
