Forres Mechanics chairman Doc resigns

FORRES Mechanics chairman Dr James Anderson has resigned from his position after 13 years.

The club confirmed the news this afternoon with a statement.

It reads: "The board of Forres Mechanics Football Club regret to announce the resignation of their long standing Chairman, Dr. James Anderson.

"Dr Anderson, affectionately known to all in the football world as The Doc, has served the club for 13 years as Chairman."

During his tenure, Dr Anderson oversaw the Cans winning the Highland League Cup in 2010, the North of Scotland Cup in 2011 and the Highland League in 2012.
