Forres Mechanics have completed the permanent signing of winger Lewis Mackenzie from Highland League rivals Clachnacuddin.

Mackenzie had a short spell at Mosset Park last season, but has now made a permanent move along the A96 to sign a three-year deal.

He has a blistering start to life with the Mighty Cans, scoring on his debut against Rothes.

Forres manager Steven MacDonald was happy to bring a familiar face back to the club, commenting: “Lewis is a good age to develop still, in addition to already having a fair bit of Highland league experience with Clach.

“He is quick and can score goals while he’s comfortable attacking wide or centrally.

“He fitted in well with the boys on his short loan spell at the end of last season, so we are looking forward to getting going properly now.”

Mackenzie progressed through the Ross County academy, but has spent the last five years in the Highland League with Clach.
