Dufftown and Forres Thistle meet at Logie Park in North Region junior football's Elginshire Cup final

DUFFTOWN and Forres Thistle will battle it out in Saturday’s Elginshire Cup final at Logie Park, Forres.

The top two teams in the six-club group stages progressed to the final and Forres had already booked their place, with Dufftown finishing the job on Tuesday night.

The Toonsers needed just a point from their home game against Burghead Thistle and clocked up a 6-1 win.

Top scorer Ben Cullen netted a hat-trick with Scott Bowie, Aiden Cruickshank and Callum Clark also on target.

Dufftown lost the North Regional Cup final to Superleague side East End this month but will be eager to cap o fine season on a high note.

They were beaten 3-0 in their last visit to Logie Park in the group stages in March.

Forres finished second in Division 2 but missed out on promotion due to league construction.

Kick-off for the final is at 2pm.
