The flagship event on the Active Schools calendar, it is one of the largest sporting participation events of the year.

This year’s races attracted around 600 runners and 1,000 spectators, and included a fun run for P1-3 pupils.

“It’s fantastic to see so many young people enjoy this event, which I hope will not only encourage them to keep active; but help them develop a lifelong passion for sport,” said Cllr Kathleen Robertson, chair of Moray Council’s Education, Communities and Leisure Services Committee.

Individual and team prizes were handed out in the P4-5 and P6-7 age groups.

Being almost on home ground, Fochabers’ Milne’s Primary were well supported and claimed the large school team award for both P4-5 girls and P6-7 boys.
