Covid-19 outbreak in Buckie Thistle squad means festive Highland League derby at Deveronvale is called off and weather results in postponements at Rothes and Forres Mechanics

BUCKIE Thistle's festive trip to Deveronvale has been postponed due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the Buckie squad.

The Highland League announced that Jags have crossed the player unavailability threshold for Covid positive test and self-isolation requirements.

Three matches have also been called off due to the weather.

MacKessack Park failed a pitch inspection on Friday so Rothes versus Brechin City was postponed along with the match between Strathspey Thistle and Clach.

Forres Mechanics' clash against Fort William also fell victim to the frosty conditions with Mosset Park failing a Monday morning inspection.
