FORRES Mechanics winger Callum Johnston is "buzzing" to be involved in what could be a dramatic Highland League final day on Saturday.

The Cans travel to Fraserburgh looking to upset the league leaders, who need just a point to claim their first league title since 2002.

If they do win, Buckie Thistle will be the potential beneficiaries. The Jags will win the title if Forres beat the Broch and they beat Clach.

Forres winger Callum Johnston is excited to be playing some part in the title race – insisting the Cans will give everything to spoil Fraserburgh's title party.

"We're absolutely buzzing for it," he said. "It's going to be a massive turnout.

"We are going there to cause an upset and they're hoping to win the title. I can't think of anything better.

"It'll be a good game, a good crowd and we just want to spoil the party.

"It's a free hit for us, we have nothing to lose, and they're going to be nervous. If it's getting towards half-time at 0-0 then they'll be going into the break nervy.

"If they do win then they probably deserve to win the title."

Forres picked up a point in a 3-3 draw with Clachnacuddin in Inverness last night to move up to 12th in the table.

In 2012, Mechanics won the title – defeating Fraserburgh 1-0 at Mosset Park to secure the league with a game to spare.
