Lossie were defeated 4-0 by Elgin City at Grant Park, with a good crowd turning out to pay tribute to the brothers.

The Archibalds even persuaded their close friend, Elgin captain Brian Cameron to play a half for both teams as part of the occasion.

And the twins, who were applauded on the pitch before kick off, joined by their families, were substituted late in the match to a rapturous ovation.

Both Ross and Liam came through the youth ranks at home town Elgin City before being signed for the Coasters by past manager Charlie Charlesworth, who headed up their testimonial committee.

The 33-year-old brothers enjoyed a spell with Charlesworth at Deveronvale and Ross also had a spell at Forres Mechanics.
