Elgin Sheriff Court appearance for woman and teen facing ‘firearm’ charge
A woman and a 16-year-old male have appeared in court charged with an alleged ‘firearm’ offence.
The pair appeared in private at Elgin Sheriff Court today (November 6), following an incident on Monday in a flat on Meadow Crescent.
Both of the accused appeared charged with “culpable and reckless discharge of a firearm (with consequences)”, according to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
The male teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was also charged with assault to injury and breaking air weapon licensing laws.
His 26-year-old co-accused was charged with assaulting and obstructing a police officer.
No plea was tendered during their court appearance, and both were committed for further examination and released on bail.
A date for their next appearance has not been set.
