Moray’s best beaches to enjoy the summer weather
Moray is blessed with many areas filled with beautiful scenery, including many beaches dotted along the coastline facing on to the Moray Firth and North Sea.
Here are 5 of the many fantastic beaches which you can visit in Moray that are great to enjoy during the warm summer weather.
Lossiemouth East Beach
Easily accessible from Lossiemouth with a footbridge over the river connecting it, Lossie East beach is a large and popular beach with many in Moray flock to when the sun comes out.
Environment agency SEPA released their gradings for the water quality at the beach recently which was marked as excellent, with the beach considered to be one of the best in the country.
Findhorn
Findhorn beach lies on the west of Moray, and is also very popular with visitors from nearby Forres and further afield from Elgin and Inverness.
The beach has a mixture of stones and sand, with a popular caravan park just minutes away and a large number of beach huts facing out onto the beach.
The beach also received an excellent grade from SEPA for the quality of the water at the beach.
Cullen
Lying next to the harbour in the picturesque village on the east of Moray is Cullen beach.
The beach was also rated excellent for its water quality by SEPA, and in the most recent edition of The Times and Sunday Times Best UK Beaches guide, Cullen was ranked in the top 50 in the UK.

Roseisle
Roseisle beach’s most iconic feature is the remnants from World War II with pillboxes and tank obstacles scattered along the beach.
Lying in Burghead Bay between Burghead and Findhorn on the west side of Moray, the beach can be accesses through Roseisle Pine Forest and Country Park.
Culbin
A quiet and almost hidden away beach is Culbin beach, which lies across the water from Findhorn, on the west side of Moray.
The beach can be accessed by taking a boat over from Findhorn or by a long walk through Culbin Forest with views out to River Findhorn’s estuary.
