A GROUP set up to support local businesses is asking for opinion on how to best do it.
The new Forres Area Business Association (FABA) has launched a survey encouraging business owners to take part to ensure the organisation represents exactly what its members want.
FABA replaces the former Forres Businesses Association (FBA) suspended in 2018 - the current directors are Joanna Taylor, Graham Murdoch, Carrie Custodio, Gavin Ellis and Claire Doughty.
Joanna of Rafford Consulting said: "We are in a position to build the membership but the association is here for the business community so we need to know what it is they want us to do.
"Businesses have shown an interested in this organisation continuing and the board has ideas but we are sure that there are more ideas out there too."
Following two meetings held earlier this year, business owners from the area decided the FBA should be a community interest company (CIC).
FABA aims to operate a network to support and encourage businesses in the area, to act as a collective business voice with organisations including local authorities, development agencies and with the public, to support business development and to undertake any other activities for the benefit of members and the community.
Claire, who runs her own publicity company, said: "We have a new website (https://www.forresareabiz.co.uk/), social media and survey to help us gauge what people want. We are urging the businesses to take part as we cannot move forward without engagement.
"The feedback will help us make sure we are carrying out the right tasks and campaigns for the business community."
Anyone including non-FABA members can take part in the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/FORRESBIZ.
