A YOUNG mother of two from Forres is a new weight loss club champion after losing four stone.

Kayleigh Cameron (33) won the ‘Greatest Loser 2022’ title at Forres Slimming World, having continued to attend weekly meetings throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

The foster carer, who joined last November, said: “Losing weight has given me so much confidence and I have got my bubbly personality back.

“I’m really enjoying the freedom of food optimising with so many different recipes and meal ideas to choose from.

“Our Forres Slimming world group gives so much love and support to all their members to lose weight and stay healthy for life.

“I’ve re-discovered the determination to get to my target weight and make my family proud.”

Kayleigh says losing weight has given her confidence again.

Forres Slimming World meets at the Scout Hall every Wednesday evening at 5.30pm and Thursday at 7.30am and 9.30am.

Consultant Kay Ford is proud of Kayleigh and all her members who have kept going virtually throughout the pandemic.

She said: “It’s such a joy to meet in group again and share our stories and experiences, hints and tips. We all help each other and that’s what makes my role so enjoyable.

“Membership numbers in the Forres group are down by about half compared to where we were pre-lockdown.

“This is understandable as people have been wary of crowded places but the existing members have still achieved losses totalling over 48 stone in the past four months.

“Now that restrictions are lifting again I’m confident that we can get back up to our previous levels, helping even more people develop healthy eating habits for life.”
