This will allow people to explore history through millions of newspaper articles from around the world.

The British Newspaper Archive is now accessible at local libraries, offering free searches and access to historical newspapers with a library membership card.

Users can also trace their family history with Ancestry Library Edition, now available in all Moray libraries.

You can discover UK records for births, deaths, marriages, military service, and more - including UK census records, parish records, and immigration/emigration records.

Library PCs are free to use, but booking in advance is recommended to guarantee availability. Alternatively, connect to public Wi-Fi and access these resources on a personal device.

Chair of Moray Council’s Education, Children’s and Leisure Services committee, Cllr Kathleen Robertson (Forres, Conservative), said: “We’re delighted to offer these new digital resources to our community.

“Whether you’re researching your family tree or exploring historical events, these tools provide a wealth of information right at your fingertips."
