DESIGN updates for the Hardmuir to Fochabers section of the dualled A96 are going on display.
A drop-in session at Forres will take place on Tuesday, October 29, from noon-7pm to allow the public the opportunity to view and comment on developments and changes to the preferred option for the scheme, announced last December.
Ongoing work has resulted in a number of refinements, including changes to the alignment design and junction layouts in some areas. Along with these design changes, communities will be able to see developing proposals for non-motorised users, including cyclists.
Cabinet Secretary for transport, infrastructure and connectivity Michael Matheson said: "The Scottish Government is committed to dualling the A96 with a high quality transport system that will generate sustainable economic growth.
"Having announced the preferred option in December 2018 for the 28-mile section between Hardmuir and Fochabers, we are now providing the public with the opportunity to see key design developments and active travel proposals following public feedback and ongoing design work. I would encourage everyone with an interest to come along and give us their views."
