Two deaths and 256 cases of Covid-19 confirmed in Moray in the last week

TWO Moray residents have died due to Covid-19 within the last week, taking the area's death toll since the outbreak began to 49.
Of the 49 people to have died, 38 tested positive for Covid-19 and passed away within 28 days, while 11 had the virus mentioned on their death certificate.
Meanwhile, 256 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Moray within the last seven days, taking the total to 4995 since last March.
This is a reduction on the total of 317 cases confirmed last week.
Across the same period, 586 negative tests for Covid-19 were recorded in Moray – down on 757 last week.
NHS Grampian – which includes Moray, Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City – has now confirmed 45,604 cases of coronavirus since the outbreak began.
Moray neighbourhood update
All bar one of Moray's 24 'neighbourhood areas' confirmed at least three cases of Covid-19 between October 18 and October 24.
The exception was Fochabers, Aultmore, Clochan and Ordiquish.
Elgin is once again the worst-hit town in Moray, with 45 cases of the virus, ahead of Lossiemouth with 23 and Forres with 20.
In Buckie, a total of 16 cases (down from 74 last week) were confirmed, while Keith and Fife Keith reported 10.

- Lhanbryde, Urquhart, Pitgavney and seaward: 15
- Cullen, Portknockie, Findochty, Drybridge and Berryhillock: 12
- Mosstodloch, Portgordon and seaward: 12
- Rural Keith and Strathisla: 12
- Rafford, Dallas, Dyke to Dava: nine
- Findhorn, Kinloss and Pluscarden Valley: seven
- North Speyside: six

Vaccination update
The number of people aged 16 plus in Moray to have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine is 69,486. This accounts for 87.2 per cent of the area's adult population.
The number to have received one dose is 74,043 – or 92.9 per cent of all those aged 16 plus in Moray.
