PASSERS-by could not fail to notice two recent local road traffic accidents involving cars.
Damaged vehicles were left at the scene at either side of Forres in both incidents which were dealt with by the emergency services.
The first accident involved a car crashing into an electrical box on Grantown Road. The vehicle was left on the pavement with a 'Police Aware' tape around it for just under a week before being removed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.40pm on Wednesday, March 30, police were called to Grantown Road at Fleurs Place following the report.
"A woman was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital for assessment and engineers isolated the box. Recovery was arranged."
Mobile network operator and internet service provider, EE, own and maintain the box that was struck by the car. The crushed metallic box has since been removed.
An EE spokesperson said: “Following a road traffic accident which damaged our equipment, some services were affected and we worked to restore them as soon as possible.
"As soon as the area was declared safe to enter by the power company, our engineers investigated the damage and ordered replacement equipment.
"We’re sorry for any inconvenience. The equipment was changed on March 31 and service has been stable ever since, after a period of monitoring."
The second incident happened last night (Wednesday, April 6) and the vehicle remains at the scene at the turn-off for Forbeshill.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 0.20 am on Thursday, April 7, police attended at single vehicle non-injury road crash on Victoria Road at Drumduan Road.
"A 24-year-old man is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged road traffic offences."
