NINETY former Forres Academy pupils atttended this year's reunion lunch at the Mosset Tavern.

And organiser Liz Phimister confirmed they came from all over the UK to celebrate the event which started quarter of a century ago.

She said: "It was very successful as usual. We had a cake with the school colours of green, purple and yellow and a gavel that Alex Ross made for us to use."

The cake was cut by sisters Mary and Margaret Taylor (Mrs Pitkeathly), whose father owned the Mosset Tavern building when it was a laundry.

"It was a special anniversary so we handed out pinkies at the end," added Liz. "They are sweet buns with pink icing that were sold at the school railings at playtime. That was a great talking point."
