AN Inverness-based house-builder is returning planning a £25million investment in Forres.

Returning to Moray for the first time in more than two decades, Tulloch Homes plans to erect 112 houses at Knockomie on Grantown Road.

Construction director Billy McKay confirmed research has shown a demand to live in Forres, with Grant Park, a golf course and swimming pool, rail, bus and car links to Nairn and Inverness on one side and Elgin and Aberdeen on the other, as well as nearby beaches and golf courses.

He said: "The development will be focused on bungalows and our plan is to begin work on site in March, 2020.

"We’re very pleased to be back in Moray after a long interval and look forward to playing our part in the social and economic growth of Forres."

Tulloch Homes, a business which was started up in Nairn in 1925, has figured in the National House Builders Council’s Pride In The Job awards for four of the past five years.
