AN appeal has gone out to volunteers with special skills to lend a helping hand to community groups across Moray.

TsiMoray are on the lookout for volunteers with special skills.
TsiMoray are on the lookout for volunteers with special skills.

TsiMoray, which acts as an umbrella group for the third sector in Moray, have issued their latest volunteers hotlist and are hoping to attract what they call 'experteers' – people who have a professional or technical skill and who volunteer by sharing that professional skill.

In particular demand are people with finance, business, accounting or fundraising and marketing skills, who would like to help a local charity.

Charities and local groups understand that people have lives, so a lot of roles like this are flexible. Above all, tsiMoray are hoping to encourage people to volunteer or 'experteer' for causes that mean something to them and will try to find a suitable match.

Among the many opportunities available in the Forres area are receptionists with Forres Action Group at the Tollbooth, helping families and new parents with Step by Step and as charity secretary to the board of trustees of the Findhorn Foundation.
