Logie Steading is hosting a free Halloween crafts session with Royal Voluntary Service and People’s Postcode Lottery
Anyone over the age of 55 is invited to make unique decorations for the spookiest night of the year.
The Royal Voluntary Service and People’s Postcode Lottery are organising a free Halloween-themed crafts session at The Long Room, Logie Steading on Friday, October 17 at 2pm.
Head of charities at People’s Postcode Lottery, Laura Chow, confirmed the event is part of ‘First Time for Everything’, a community health and wellbeing programme.
She said: “Being active, getting out and about, and feeling part of the community are important for health and wellbeing, no matter age, ability or circumstances. First Time for Everything brings local people together to try something new, to meet new people and have fun.”
Attendees will be making Halloween yarn pumpkins - ideal centrepiece or mantle decorations. All materials and instructions will be provided, as well as refreshments.
To register for any First Time for Everything events, or for more information, email sharon.finlay@royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk.
Booking for all events is essential as places are limited.
For those unable to attend in person, Royal Voluntary Service has designed the Virtual Village Hall - a free, online activity hub and community that offers live online activity sessions every weekday on Facebook and YouTube. It is free to join, and anyone can take part with no sign-in or subscription required. To take part, search @VirtualVillageHall.
