Moray mum Kiesha Donaghy murder trial begins

A man has gone on trial accused of murdering Lucretia Donaghy in Elgin back in 2023.

Owen Grant, who’s aged 43, appeared at the High Court in Edinburgh today.

He pleaded not guilty to a charge of having killed Ms Donaghy, who was known as Kiesha, by repeatedly hitting her with an unidentified object.

The body of the 32-year-old, who was a mum-of-two, was discovered inside her home on Anderson Drive during the course of November 15, 2023.

The trial is expected to last at least five days and is due to resume on Tuesday.
