MORAY Council is inviting applications for a third wave of business funding for B&Bs, guesthouses and self-catering accommodation.

The Small Accommodation Providers Council Tax Fund is open to those who pay council tax rather than non-domestic rates.

A grant of £2000 is available to eligible businesses, paid every four weeks. All businesses should have been trading on November 2.

Applications will close on March 22.

The fund is aimed at those who may have missed out on funding under either the B&B Hardship Fund, or the 2020 Culture, Tourism, Hospitality Enterprise Hardship Grant.

Moray Council’s Head of Economic Growth and Development, Jim Grant, said: “We have processed a number of successful applications under waves one and two of this fund, and encourage any owners of businesses which meet the criteria to apply for support under this scheme.”

Eligibility criteria are detailed on Moray Council’s website, and the application along with supporting evidence should be emailed to bbfund@moray.gov.uk.

Businesses which are not eligible can apply to the discretionary fund. Details for this are also available on Moray Council’s website.
