The band, who all originally met at Elgin Academy, are Dan Thomson (vocals/guitar), Hayden Peace (vocals/guitar), Max Robertson (bass), and Aiden Smith (drums).

For the past two years they have been living in Glasgow where they regularly perform at well-known venues such as King Tut’s.

In addition, at the start of November, they were picked to support Glasvegas, one of the most successful Scottish groups of recent years.

On returning home, frontman Dan Thomson says “We fundamentally could not separate our identity from our music no matter how hard we tried to be a ‘Glasgow band’.

“Eventually, we just embraced our roots and our song Roseisle is what came out of that.

“Now, all that was left for 2024 was to secure our name as the band from Elgin and play a hometown show. We are so eager to show you all what we’ve been up to these past few years and the night is going to be really special.”

The band are in the process of recording Haste Ye Back, a documentary about the Elgin homecoming show, which they plan to release at the start of 2025.

The Zebecks headline The Springfield Bar, Glen Moray Drive, Elgin on Friday, December 20.
