Moray police arrested boy after 15-year-old sexually assaulted in Forres’ Grant Park





A teenage boy has been arrested after a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in a wooded area in Forres.

The assault, which took place near Grant Park, was reported to police at 1pm on Wednesday (June 11) and a 16-year-old boy has been arrested.

An area of the woods above the park, near to the cemetery, was taped off last night. Police cars and officers - including forensics - were on the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 1pm on Wednesday, June 11, we received a report of a 15-year-old girl being sexually assaulted at a wooded area near Grant Park in Forres.

“A 16-year-old male youth has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
