Sixth-straight week without a coronavirus-related death in Moray, 12 days without a confirmed case

NO new coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded in Moray for the sixth-straight week, with the number of cases remaining at 90.
The number of Moray residents who have died, who had coronavirus mentioned on their death certificate, remained at 20 for the sixth week running, according to the National Records of Scotland, with no deaths between July 20 and July 26.
The last case of coronavirus in the area was confirmed on July 17, 12 days ago, new data released by the Scottish Government has shown (more below).
The Scottish Government's newly-released data also shows 13 of the 20 deaths in Moray were residents who tested positive for coronavirus and died within 28 days. Coronavirus was on the death certificate of the other seven, who did not necessarily test positive.
There were no newly-reported deaths in Aberdeenshire or Aberdeen City between July 20 and July 26, meaning the Grampian health board's death total remains 260 since the outbreak began.
Of those, 123 were residents of Aberdeen City, 117 of Aberdeenshire and 20 of Moray.
One new case of coronavirus has been confirmed across the NHS Grampian region, taking the total to 1446.

The Scottish Government's newly-released dashboard is the most in-depth yet, showing the exact date of confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths in each local authority.
For the first time, the number of tests per local authority has been shown.
A total of 5583 coronavirus tests have been taken in Moray since the outbreak began, with 90 positive and 5493 negative.
As stated, 13 of those who tested positive went on to die within 28 days.
The figures show 1.6 per cent of those tested in Moray returned a positive result – only Orkney and Na h-Eileanan Siar have smaller percentages.

Scotland-wide update
Across Scotland, eight people died with coronavirus between July 20 and July 26, taking the total to 4201, according to NRS figures. These numbers include all deaths where coronavirus was mentioned on the death certificate, even if the person hadn't tested positive for covid-19.
Eight deaths is a slight rise on six between July 13 and July 19, but is the second lowest total since the outbreak began.
The Scottish Government's daily update showed 2491 people have died within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus.
This means, across Scotland, there has been one death in the last two weeks where the patient had tested positive for coronavirus and died within 28 days.
In total, 352,494 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs and regional testing centres, with 333,914 negative tests and 18,580 positive. A total of 4156 have been discharged from hospital after testing positive.
