Moray home on sale for £500,000 with five bedrooms and unique features
A unique property with a games room featuring a climbing wall, cinema and gym has hit the market for half a million pounds.
The home, named St. Margaret’s, has five bedrooms and three reception rooms and is located in Urquhart six miles east of Elgin.
Estate agent firm Galbraith, which is marketing the property, described the “late Victorian” house as “magnificent”.
Also included, is a timber outbuilding with unique features including a games room, gym and cinema - complete with a climbing wall.
St Margaret’s is built from stone under a slate roof, with “spacious, very well-appointed and flexible accommodation” over two storeys.
Reception rooms include an “elegant” sitting room and a dining room with a deep-set bay window.
The house also has many “fine period features”, the Galbraith spokesperson said, including exposed wooden floors, sash and case windows, attractive fireplaces, corniced ceilings and wooden timber shutters.
An open plan kitchen, dining and living room also features a wood burning stove and French doors to the garden.
The house is heated using a biomass (wood pellet) boiler and has an array of solar PV and solar thermal panels which improve the property’s energy efficiency.
The property has a current energy efficiency rating of F, which could potentially be increased to a D.
