Police Scotland have confirmed he was sentenced at the High Court in Dundee, having been found guilty at the High Court in Inverness last month.

BBC News reported that Chapman was found guilty of raping a 15-year-old boy on various occasions at his trial.

He was also found to have supplied cannabis to children aged between 14 and 17 in 2022, and to have carried out several sex attacks on a 14-year-old girl.

However, the 28-year-old reportedly continued to deny his guilt.

Along with being jailed, Chapman was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register and banned from contacting his victims.

Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Gray, describing the man’s actions as “appalling”, praised the bravery of children involved in the investigation.

“I would like to commend the children for their strength during our investigations,” she added.

“Their information was essential in helping us build the case against him.

"Chapman’s crimes were appalling, and he showed complete disregard for those involved.

“If anyone is experiencing or has experienced any type of sexual abuse, please report it.

“We have specially trained detectives dedicated to investigating such offences.

“You can be assured that you will be fully supported by our officers and our partner agencies."
