Either way, the annual duck race in the Mosset Burn in Forres, taking place on Friday, June 6, could be for you.

The 1st Forres Scouts-run event at ‘the Brig’ between Orchard Road and St Catherine’s Road will see money raised for charity.

Last year, the quirky event raised more than £1700 for local children, and awarded prizes for first to fifth place.

Spectators were also able to bet on which feathered flock member would reach the finishing line the fastest.

On Friday, the first duck across the finish line will make the owner £100 richer.

But fear not, if your yellow bird is on the lazier side it might win you £5 for coming in last place. Second place will get £50, third £25 and fourth and fifth £10.

There will be side stalls available and other fun activities including Hook a Duck and Duck Map.

Participants will also be able to munch on popcorn and sweeties.

The race kicks off at 8pm; may the best duck win!
