Pride in Moray fears closure and issues urgent call ahead of crunch meeting

A leading group within Moray’s LGBTQ+ community has warned it will be forced to close its doors without an influx of fresh faces.

Pride in Moray said it is at a “critical juncture” and needs new board members if it is to continue operating.

The charity has served Moray’s LGBTQ+ community for more then four years and is hopeful new members will help that vital work to continue.

Appealing for people to step forward, a spokesperson for the charity said: “Pride in Moray is at a critical juncture, and we need your help!

“Without new board members, our vital charity which has served the LGBTQ+ community in Moray for the past four years will be forced to close its doors.

“Do you have a skill set or experience you can bring to the charity? We’d love to hear from you! Get in touch via with us or register your interest by clicking the button below.

“Our Emergency General Meeting next takes place at 7pm on March 19 at The Lossie 2-3 Group and Community Hub, Pitgaveny Quay, Lossiemouth, Moray IV31 6TW.

“Together, we can ensure that Pride in Moray continues to thrive and remain a symbol of pride, support, safety and empowerment for everyone in the Moray LGBTQ+ community. Thank you.”
