CHANGES to polling places in Forres and Alves have been proposed after a review by Moray Council.

Moray Council's statutory review of polling districts and places will see a change to the district boundaries in Forres in a bid to alleviate pressure on the town hall.

This may mean a change of polling place for those who vote at the town hall on election days.

Elsewhere, the polling place at Victoria Hotel will be replaced with Pilmuir Primary School's hall – with the school remaining open on polling day – and Alves Primary School's hall will be replaced by Alves Town Hall.

These proposals, along with other minor amendments to polling districts, are now out for public consultation.

More information, including how you can make comment, is available on Moray Council’s website until November 19.
