Police respond to two public incidents in Forres in two days

POLICE were called out to two local incidents causing a stir on social media.

Firstly, a number of police vehicles appeared to be involved in the raid of a property on the morning of Thursday, April 28 .

Forres police inspector Andy Meikleham confirmed: “Officers executed a search warrant at a property on Anderson Crescent at around 10am. A 54-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection and he was due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Friday, April 29.”

The police did not confirm what they were searching for.

Secondly, a diversion was put in place at the Forres bypass on Friday, April 29.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received report of concern for a woman on footbridge over the A96 near the Findhorn junction at around 5pm. Officers attended and the woman has been taken to hospital for treatment.”
