PETS are running free in a new safe play area thanks to a venture by two friends from Nairn.
Professional dog walkers Stacey Mcghee and Kim Shepherd have opened Unleashed Dog Park on the town's Balmakeith Industrial Estate to provide something a bit different for pampered pooches to enjoy.
The pair welcomed a large number of visitors to their opening weekend which attracted around 40 hounds to doggy play dates and puppy sessions.
Stacey said: "The events were a huge success. The park is over one acre in size so there is plenty of room for social distancing. Pet owners relax and speak to other visitors while enjoying watching their dogs play with each other."
She added: "We understand the importance of a safe and secure facility for dogs, either as a quiet space with no distractions or a meet-up to play with pals. We offer the space for them to run free safely."
The enclosure is surrounded by an eight foot fence and has agility features including tunnels and hillocks for the dogs to explore. There is also seating for visiting owners.
Stacey said: "It is available from 7am to 10pm, seven days-a week. Once a visitor books they get a confirmation email and two hours before their allocated slot receive a text with the code for the gate.
"It’s really just a giant play park ... but for dogs!"
