Moray Tenants’ Forum launches campaign for new members
The influential group which represents council housing tenants in Moray is looking for new members ahead of its AGM.
The Moray Tenants’ Forum gives tenants the opportunity to have their say, make suggestions and influence decisions on improving housing services.
Similarly, the council’s housing service routinely consults the forum on proposed changes to policies.
Forum member Alison Angus said: “Our meetings are always very relaxed and informal, and I’d encourage anyone who can take part to come along, to make sure the forum represents the views of all council tenants.”
Chair of Moray Council’s Housing and Community Safety Committee, Councillor Amber Dunbar, said: “The forum allows the council to work with residents to create positive change, and we routinely consult with them on proposed changes to policy. I’d encourage any tenant who is keen, to get involved and influence decision-making.”
The annual general meeting will take place at The Inkwell on Francis Place, Elgin on Tuesday, November 5, from 11am to 12pm. It will be followed by a shorter general meeting with a guest speaker, and an informal lunch.
