More than a quarter of Moray's adult have received two Covid-19 jabs

MORE than a quarter of Moray's adults have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, updated figures show.

A total of 21,516 adults across the area have now been fully vaccinated, which amounts to 27 per cent of Moray's adult population.

A total of 3720 adults received their second jab in the last week.

Meanwhile, 50,649 adults (63.6 per cent of the area's adult population) have received at least the first jab. This means 1815 people aged 16 plus received their first jab within the last week.

Moray's numbers remain ahead of the national average, with 61.4 per cent of adults (2,789,978 people) across Scotland having received their first jab and 25.2 per cent (1,142,947 people) having received both.

Across the NHS Grampian health board region, 59.7 per cent of the adult population (289,503 people) have received a first dose, with 26.8 per cent of adults (129,921 people) having been fully vaccinated.
