Moray resident dies after testing positive for coronavirus

A MORAY resident has died after testing positive for Covid-19, it has been confirmed in today's Scottish Government update.

The death takes the total in Moray since the outbreak began to 23.

Of those 23, 15 have tested positive for Covid-19 and died within 28 days. The remaining eight have had Covid-19 mentioned on their death certificate.

This is the first coronavirus-related death in Moray since October 22.

Yesterday's weekly coronavirus update showed the number of cases in Moray is at an all time high, with 128 confirmed between December 29 and January 6.
