The course, which has been running for six weeks, has taught people who are new to photography the key principles and how to apply them to camera.

Forres-based photographer Gary Murison, who established his own photography business in 2011, has led the course.

Participants have explored foundation elements of light, composition and exposure through practical sessions.

Tasks to date have seen participants take photos ranging from landscapes, flowers, animals and nature.

Students, having enhanced their photography skills with the help of Gary, will now have the opportunity to exhibit their work alongside photographer John Ferguson.

John, a Glasgow born visual artist, has had a number of exhibitions across the north of Scotland.

The latest will be about the transition from his photography up to lockdown and how it is starting to take a new direction.

A student of UHI Moray himself, John says his work is about looking at the 'awesome of everyday and making the awesome every day'.

The course is set to finish tomorrow, October 13, with students set to exhibit some of their work in a group show at Moray Art Centre following that.
