Microsoft don't make phone calls

Telephone Scam.

It is that time of year again. I have had five people in this week with the effects of “I am from Microsoft and you have some problems with your computer!!!!!” Fortunately, to date I have been able to reverse the effects of this call. However, I feel that we need the good offices of the Gazette letters page to once again warn everyone about this scam. Thankfully only one of my customers paid any money to them but the effects can be disastrous. So PLEASE BE WARNED Microsoft do not phone people up and offer to help them!! and certainly not with a foreign accent.
