Moray community groups could be awarded up to £10,000 to support mental health projects.

Moray third sector umbrella organisation tsiMoray will distribute just over £250,000 to support local initiatives that aim to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the adult population in region. The cash is part of the new Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund introduced by the Scottish Government.

This funding comes in response to the mental health need arising from the pandemic and also to benefit the overall Mental Health Transition and Recovery Plan.

The fund is open to all community groups and third sector organisations in Moray. Unconstituted groups can apply for up to £2000, and those constituted up to £10,000.

Some of the many possible projects which could be supported by the fund include training staff and volunteers to deliver mental health sessions or peer support groups, providing social opportunities to those recovering from mental health such as community gardens or community lunches.

The closing date for applications is Monday, January 17, 2022 at 10am. To apply, visit https://www.tsimoray.org.uk

For more information, or to obtain a Word version of the application form, please email funding@tsimoray.org.uk
