A man (34) has been arrested and charged after a road traffic incident on the A96.

The crash took place between Alves and the Glenburgie Distillery junction at around 2.15am on November 30.

The road was closed as an electricity cable was damaged in the crash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The damaged cable struck an additional vehicle although that car was not involved in the initial collision.

“No one was injured in the incident. One man aged 34, was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences. He is subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.”
