Man (23) charged after approaching woman in Forres

A 23-year-old man has been charged after attempting to approach and engage with a woman in the Pilmuir area of Forres.

The woman (24) was walking on Pilmuir Road West at around 10.25pm on Saturday, May 23, when she was approached by a man on a silver bike.

The man was charged after an appeal for witnesses. Police have thanked the public for assisting with their enquiries.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the man will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.

No further details can be provided with legal proceedings now active.

The incident is believed to be unrelated to a 21-year-old woman being approached by a man on Grantown Road, near to Grant Place, around 10pm on Tuesday, May 12.

Police described the man as being aged in his 30s, 5ft 7ins tall and slimly built. He was wearing a black jacket and dark coloured jeans.
