PUPILS at Logie Primary School had some very special guests at their recent community cafe event.

The school and their Cup of Joy cafe have been shortlisted in the final three in the Cook of the Year category at the BBC Food and Farming awards.

Judges visited the school to see in action the cafe, where pupils are involved in keeping chickens, growing vegetables, preparing and serving food, cash handing and engaging with members of the public.

The popular community cafe also welcomed Forres Online who supported people attending the event to develop their technological skills.

The April cafe also saw a visit from staff from the Social Enterprise Academy, which is the group that created the Dragons’ Den style competition which saw the cafe created in 2017.
