The department of Work and Pensions will be hosting the event at the Moray Pathways Hub this coming Monday with lots of employers in attendance who have Kickstart vacancies available.

Kickstart provides funding for employers to create six-month, 25 hours a week work placements for unemployed young people aged 16-24 who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

Participants get paid the national minimum wage based on their age at the end of the placement.

Any customer who wishes to attend on the day will need to speak to their work coach to arrange an appointment as there will be restricted numbers on site.

Among the many employers attending will be the Ramnee Hotel in Forres, Gordon Castle walled garden in Fochabers and Sandy's Carpets in Buckie.

All Kickstart vacancies will be available on the Find a Job portal from next week. Any 18-24yr old who is eligible for Kickstart will be able to search on Find a Job to see what Kickstart opportunities are available in their own location.
