A LOCAL crafts group is celebrating its Diamond Anniversary this year.

And Moray and Nairn Floral Art Club (MNFAC) chairwoman Lesley Boyle is inviting new members to join in the monthly fun.

She said: "Floral Art incorporates a wide range and variety of plant material but you do not need to be an expert with flowers.

"Our meetings provide relaxed, social evenings for members and visitors to enjoy where we watch demonstrations from amateur and professional guests from all over the country.

"The exhibits are raffled at the end of evenings - tea, coffee and home bakes are also provided. We also offer opportunities to join in classes and excursions."

Over the past 60 years,a variety of organisations, private and civic functions have benefited from MNFAC's skills. The group has also held a number of fund-raising events for local and national charities.

"Looking for a new interest your life?," asked Lesley. "Come and join us for a taster session, meet old friends and make new ones."

MNFAC meet in the Tolbooth Court Room on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.15pm, eight times-a year from September to December and March to June.

Contact Lesley on 01343 890309 or email tonlesboyle@btinternet.com for more information.
