Inverness airport passengers continue to experience delays going through security

The advice to travellers to turn up earlier than normal for flights was first issued on Sunday when it was reported there were longer delays in processing passengers through security.

A spokesperson for Highlands and Islands Airports (HIAL) said today: “We thank all passengers for their patience while we work to resolve a technical issue with one of our security scanners at Inverness Airport.
“Passengers may experience longer wait times as they pass through the security process as a result of the issue.
“We continue to advise passengers to arrive early for their flights and on arrival, to check-in and proceed straight through security to the departure lounge.
We will provide further updates on our website and social media channels.”
