A spokesperson for Highlands and Islands Airports (HIAL) said today: “We thank all passengers for their patience while we work to resolve a technical issue with one of our security scanners at Inverness Airport.

“Passengers may experience longer wait times as they pass through the security process as a result of the issue.

“We continue to advise passengers to arrive early for their flights and on arrival, to check-in and proceed straight through security to the departure lounge.

We will provide further updates on our website and social media channels.”
