Artisans Benromach and HÔRD team up on limited edition hip flask
A LOCAL distillery has teamed up with fellow artisans to launch a new collaborative campaign.
“Firsthand” is the new campaign from Benromach – celebrating the benefits and craft of handmade products – and the first product has been created by Yorkshire-based leather workers HÔRD, specialists in custom hip flasks.
HÔRD founder Jason Booth explained that after working with the distillery’s team for many months on the detail and design, 80 Benromach x HÔRD 80 hip flasks are now available to buy from benromach.com/flask
He said: “We create products that can be passed down through generations.
“Making them by hand allows us to guarantee quality, care and attention.
“The limited-edition Benromach hip flask is a perfect example of this.”
Each Benromach x HÔRD flask uses old leather that would otherwise head to landfill, with all cladding, dyeing and detail added by hand.
The HÔRD collaboration is the start of a series of partnerships in the Firsthand campaign. In the coming months Benromach will continue to introduce new brand collaborations.
Distillery manager, Keith Cruickshank, said: “Our small team rely entirely on their expertise and senses to make the finest handmade whisky.
“There may be a more efficient way of doing it, but we celebrate the rewards of all things handmade. The collaboration with HÔRD has produced something we are all incredibly proud of and is the perfect complement to any single malt by Benromach.”
