WELL, what a year 2021 was?

Happy New Year to all.
Happy New Year to all.

I dare say, most, if not all of us will be glad to see the back of it in the same way we were glad to see the back of 2020.

Let's hope 2022 offers some brighter days ahead.

No-one could have foreseen the pandemic of the last two years.

And while Covid is going to be with us for some time to come by the looks of things, we are slowly but surely learning to live with it.

For those who have lost loved ones in 2021, whether to Covid or other reasons, a special thought goes out to you.

It has been hard for many, particularly those who live on their own, or have had to shield for long periods of time, or businesses badly impacted by the restrictions.

All we can do is keep ourselves and others as safe as possible.

So as you celebrate the start of 2022, be kind to yourself and others and enjoy your start to a new year.

All the best from the Moray and Grampian team of Highland News and Media.
