WEDNESDAY Seniors chairman Mike Holder presented a cheque for £230 to treasurer of the Moray Hydrotherapy Pool Karine Carson.

The money was raised from entry fees for the summertime Jim MacLeod Trophy and the George Jenkins Cup played in the Spring with the Forres Ladies.

The Moray Hydrotherapy Pool on Burdsyard Road is run by a registered charity for the people of Moray.

Hydrotherapy is a form of exercise carried out in the pool that is heated to 34 degrees Celsius. The combination of extra heat and the buoyancy of the water provide a relaxing medium in which pain relieving exercises can be carried out.

It is beneficial for people with a variety of conditions including arthritis, muscular dystrophy, MS, cerebral palsy, autism, as well as victims of strokes or accidents and pre and post-surgery patients.

Hydrotherapy can also be used to treat and speed recovery from sports and work related injuries, offers a way to relax and generally promotes good health.
