Quality products are being sought for an artisan, crafts and farmers market at the Findhorn eco-village this Saturday.

The initial Market at The Park last month succeeded in attracting more than 300 people – and it's hoped even more will attend the free event this weekend.

"It's the perfect opportunity to support local food producers and artisans and enjoy time in this beautiful place," said Irene Canalis, events and outreach officer at the Findhorn Foundation.

"The Foundation is committed to creating a vibrant and lively market, showcasing the amazing produce and crafts that come from the Moray and Highlands region."

Amongst the many returning stallholders from last month are Heavenly Favour Natural Skincare from Elgin, Harmonised Spaces from Forres, Abriachan Nursery besides Loch Ness and the handmade toy-makers Bear With Us.

New stallholders this coming Saturday will include Prri's Heart – so bring your own container and join the zero-waste movement while enjoying a delicious and authentic Indian food.

Also present will be Love Mushrooms, an organic smallholding based at Marcassie Farm, near Forres.

In addition, there'll also be the chance to pick up some fresh veggies from the eco-village's own Cullerne Gardens.

Irene said: "Stall holders are warmly invited to participate with their goods. Foodies are especially welcome. We value organic, ethical, and natural production methods from local sources, whether they are plant-based, fish, meat, or dairy.

"But all foodstuffs must be grown locally or home made. Goods on the craft and artisan stalls should also be home-made and created from scratch."

Entry is free for Market at The Park, which is taking place from 10.30am-3.30-pm this Saturday.

Stall holders must hold their own documentation, from environmental health and food hygiene certificates to proof of public liability insurance.

The Findhorn Foundation will provide stallholders witrh and all facilities, including parking.

Other markets are set to take place on August 27, September 24 and October 22, which are all the fourth Sunday of the month.

Following on from last year’s success, the Findhorn Foundation will also stage a two-day Christmas Market over the weekend of December 3 and 4.
