JUST a day remains until some of the town's most talented youngsters put on an annual show.

The 50th Forres Youth Concert at the town hall on Tuesday, March 3 at 7pm and has a bill packed with ability.

Organiser Ewen Watson, frontman for pop group Be Like Pablo, got his own first taste for showbusiness at the event.

He said: "Over the last half century, the Youth Concert has become an institution in Forres. It has proven time and again to be a great platform for young people in the town to showcase their skills and talents. The event has given countless pupils - representing schools and community groups - the opportunity to perform on a big stage in front of a large audience."

Confirmed so far are junior members of Forres and District Pipe Band, the Rising Stars singers, Forres Taekwon-do Dunbar Blackbelt Academy and pupils from a number of local schools.

Proceeds raised will be donated to a worthy cause.

"I am looking forward to this year's event," added Mr Watson. "I'm confident that the Forres Youth Concert can continue to support our young people for another 50 years."
