Moray schools - including Forres Academy - continue to close as pupils head home early due to wintry weather

Further early school closures have been announced amid heavy snow.

Forres Academy and Applegrove Primary School are both closing early - in addition to Dallas Primary School.

Keith Grammar, Elgin High School and Milne’s High have all announced in the last hour or so that they will not be opening after lunch.

All bar two of Moray’s secondary schools are now closed - Buckie High School and Lossiemouth High remain open, although Lossie will shut at 2.30pm so children can travel home in daylight.

Bishopmill Primary, Linkwood Primary and Greenwards Primary in Elgin and Mosstowie Primary in Miltonduff have also shut.

These add to four closures announced over the course of the morning. Elgin Academy, New Elgin Primary, St Thomas Primary (Keith) and Dallas Primary had all previously announced that they would be shutting early.

Several schools in the Speyside area have been shut both today and yesterday.

Mortlach Primary, Knockando Primary, Rothes Primary, Aberlour Primary, Craigellachie Primary, Tomintoul Primary and Glenlivet Primary have all been closed both days. Speyside High School has also been shut both days.
